“The lion king of Los Angeles” for High Country News

Photography for a story about Miguel Ordeñana, written by Ruxandra Guidi. Miguel’s story is an important one about the immigrant experience, inclusivity and representation in science, urban wildlife, and P22, the famous mountain lion in Griffith Park.

St0ries from Home

A documentary series of photographs about housing in the Coachella Valley, commissioned by Lift To Rise. Over the past year and a half, I met with residents of the Coachella Valley to document their stories in order to inform the work that Lift To Rise does to achieve more equitable and affordable housing in the region. While the overall issue is complex, the heart of this story is in its people — everyday individuals who are the backbone of the region’s economy, but struggle to provide stability and housing for themselves and their families.
