Una Halford is one of the most civically engaged residents of the Valley. She maintains her tradition of attending service at the Cuyama Assembly of God, participates in local efforts and events related to economic development in town. When asked about what she thinks might benefit local children she speaks the need for music education at local schools. Una herself played violin all through high school and appreciates the benefits and richness that gave the rest of her life. Being in Una’s presence one becomes aware that she has a quality that our society is losing, and that is a sense of elegance. Una is careful and caring about how she expresses herself, how she presents herself and how she conducts herself in the world.
